Many federal sentences include a period of probation – called supervised release within the federal system – after you complete your time in prison. Although courts typically won't grant early termination of supervised release as a matter of course, it is possible to get off federal probation early if you follow all the rules and prove that you have been rehabilitated and are no longer a danger to society.
