30 June 2020Michigan House Representative, Bronna Kahle, announced, on 24 June 2020, that House Bill 5672 for the Microchip Protection Act ('the Bill') passed the Michigan House of Representatives. In particular, the Bill seeks to protect the privacy rights of Michigan workers and promote further growth for job providers as it relates to microchipping. In addition, the Bill outlines that Michigan employers would be able to utilise microchipping but could not mandate employees to have such devices implanted.
The Bill will now be considered in the Michigan Senate.
